A leader in Canada’s sustainable fashion industry, the Frank And Oak brand is a go-to for timeless quality pieces. For a decade, placing their ethics at the heart of what they do has driven their growth, and in 2021, they connected with the Domaine team to collaborate as they continued on their growth trajectory. What started as a migration project evolved into a long-term partnership, and the team has been supporting Frank And Oak in keeping their web store up-to-date ever since. Once the web store was moved to Shopify, the Domaine team updated the site’s navigation for easier browsing. Then, they refreshed the online merchandising to place new collections front and center, and built a loyalty program that keeps customers coming back.

Migrating from Magento to Shopify

Frank And Oak’s online shop was originally hosted on Magento, and they came to Half Helix with the goal to migrate to Shopify. As Shopify experts, the team made the transition as seamless as possible — and they made a few updates along the way, increasing average order value by 10% and conversion by 58%. While Frank And Oak took charge of the design and direction, the Half Helix team took on the technical side of bringing their vision to life.

Updated navigation and merchandising

To help customers find what they’re looking for quicker and more efficiently, Half Helix gave the site’s navigation a refresh. With new sections for featured items and collections, it’s easy to find — and shop — new and seasonal pieces. Other new sections include product reviews, user-generated content, and updated image sizing to allow for more product details, like sustainability information. And for a more personalized experience, the team added Fit Analytics to help shoppers find the right size based on their past purchases.

A loyalty program for long-term customers

Finally, the team at Half Helix helped launch Frank And Oak’s customer loyalty program using Yotpo. The program is omni-channel, meaning customers can earn points shopping both online and in-store. As they rack up points, they gain access to exclusive offers like pre-sale events, promotions, and gift with purchase. Just one more reason for Frank And Oak’s already loyal customer base to continue shopping with them.
